Racism is a variant of collectivism, the doctrine that the individual
is valueless outside of existence as an appendage of a group. One's
'race' is an evaluation based on nonessential attributes - an aggregate
of proportional measurements bearing similarity to the corresponding
measurements of some other individuals, such as the dimensions of
facial/physical features and the wavelengths of light reflected by
pigmentation.
In capitalism, as in life in general, the capacity to think and to
produce are man's essential, defining attributes. Institutionally, capitalism
tends to drive out racism and other irrational considerations quickly and
unforgivingly. In short, the market doesn't care what race
you are.
